This really has the right feel to it, perfect for the topic.

Hmmm... Not so sure about this one, mate. Like the proverbial Curate's Egg, parts of it are excellent. There seems to be a foggy, almost washed out quality to the image overall, as if it's lacking in contrast somewhere along the line. The floor looks good, as does the TARDIS. I do not, however, like the Gray Alien at all, but I admit that's a purely subjective thing; I always found the look of these "Aliens" to be silly, since, despite their enlarged heads, most of it would be taken up by the huge eyes, so... tiny brain. The beetles and the watch look groovy and the reflection in the alien's eyes is cleverly done. The hand holding the watch and the watch chain look very stiff and fakey, the sort of thing that shouts "Poser render!" more than almost anything. Sorry mate, I really want to like it a lot.

Many thanks for the feedback so far :-) I think Sam makes some good points and another attempt at this one is probably in order, to see if I can improve on my hand posing. The washed out look is, I think, due to the volumetric Poser atmosphere settings I've used... so more playing around with those is likely an idea too... to make it clear that fogginess is what's meant to be going on, rather than just poor exposure! Thinking about it, the implicitly small brains is likely why I find this design of Gray Alien somewhat creepy. There is some kind of anomaly there... I wonder if the imagery of these springs right out of the residual reptilian or amphibian parts of our brains. It also suggests that their embodied intelligence may just be a kind of node, part of a bigger "hive" mind perhaps? Hmmm... I think this is why I've subliminally drawn a parallel with the beetles, perhaps, too...
