Description
Been hacking away at this WW2 Jeep model that I got in the last Daz sale, applying shaders from Bagginsbill and Dreamland's sets.
Trickiest bit so far was to extract the Jeep decals, which were part of the painted textures for the paintwork, and photoshop those into a black and white map that I could use to drive a blender node, for defining the green bodywork and white decals, which I've plugged into the diffuse (simple colour) color node in the car paint shader from the Chevy set...
...and that was all pretty easy to do, relatively!
Vehicle bodywork paint is from the Chevy set.
Metal (black iron) is from the Bedroom One set, along with thin glass.
Rubber for tyres and leather for seats is from the Car Patio.
Copied and pasted things like the displacement map for the tyre tread from the model vendor supplied shader into the BB shaders.
As I said, these parts were all pretty easy to do, I reckon, and it now renders very nicely with IDL etc in PP2012. The supplied shaders didn't. They all had ambient set to 1 for starters.
Now, the really tricky part will be trying to make all this look a bit distressed or battle damaged looking...
Any comments or suggestions on this WIP would be especially appreciated!
Cheers ;-)

That looks very nice indeed. I'd have just re-done the decals but maybe that's just me. The font is easy enough to find, although I can't bring it to mind at the moment.
