another piece with two similar "beings" (shapes), next to each other---I see you're exploring that theme, around this time in your gallery. The two shapes---with deep red hues, splashed on quickly---seem different from each other, but more similar than different: It looks like you've processed the two red shapes differently. And one's upside down from the other...But again, it's like you've turned these strange shapes into beings, or into windows of some kind, or maybe glimpses into buildings. In fact,, that building motif is emphasized by all you place 'around' them. They remind me of MirĂ³'s lines, or the lines drawn by children, in that they have this little 'dance' in them (very expressive lines, they always sing). All this takes place over a heavy stone surface, like the wall of a building that's decayed, perhaps an alley wall. Or like a mountain-side. And this 'wall' has subtle blue-greens, in contrast to those blood-reds of the 2 rectangular shapes. And then, there are sudden "cracks" in the wall; and one of the cracks (on the left) looks like a bird (at least to me). You've used birds in these images very expressively, like musical melodies floating above the harmonies below. Just a few elements---some lines, a couple of dark "cracks," those two window-like areas with red inside, and a stone surface---and you've made a corner of a city-block, an intersection of two homes maybe, with mysterious connections we can only guess at. Unknown stories lurk behind these pieces...and they're beautiful in their own right. Another piece of magic from you. (I don't vist RR often, but each time I do, I enter a magic kingdom everytime I come here.)
