Description
My model of the 2001 space station is now completed! (And available for download free to members on Foundation 3d).
This image shows the Orion shuttle closing in to dock. The Orion is done to the original scale planned by Kubrick, where it would just fit into the docking bay, so that with both docks occupied the craft would be almost nose to nose.
This makes a lot m,ore sense if you look at the window sizes, but Kubrick felyt it made the station look too small.
