Description

Infested Ent. Okay, this is not the most exciting fractal work you’ve ever seen by a long shot, but, well, it simply spoke to me when it rendered. I saw what appeared to be the brow ridge for an eye, and hence, and Ent was born. I call this Infested Ent, because I left the Oversampling to show all the white and black splotches on the, uh, tree. If you were to blow this image up to 150 percent, you would clearly see all the little termites or aphid like creatures infesting our friend. I tried a high resolution render, but did not like the results, so, left this one. I’m still learning, and amazed at what changing a single digit in a range of numbers can do. If nothing else, I hope this image brings a smile to your day. Thanks again for taking the time to view a newcomers try at fractals. Here are the Parameters I used: Mandelbulb3Dv18{ b....../...E0...w....2.....VKwlP7.owzaxSs6ZfOB2Eut0l35rC6z9xC4f7Hrqcz2PUdrRbyoyj ................................Sk8zh6fNd.2........A./..................y.2...wD ...Uz.....UB..../M.0/.....Ey...../....E3.....khNNu441KmD/.......BJJJ0dkpXm1.vV60 ./....kD12../..........wz..................................u1....y1...sD...../.. .z1...sDtiBu0e0bYwneSuVAjEKzyOBQBsCSADkjjF5ehlr65wXDmZeY2qX/z6z1vrFhpDmDk28gdWH0 lvPopm2GgE57z0y1aJ1O0ZkD......IQ1.............sD.6....sD..E..................... .............oAnAt1...sD....z.Lvu3.2ifL.kuiS/.pvu3.wjfL.E0jS/.Hwu3......L....k1. .....AQxcz1.......kz.wzzz1kS.c4.e0...U0...UA....p....s4....F....6/...w2.....SE5I ...U.u5XKyDS4JmzTeOgzf8No.6.0s..zzzz..EOf5nlcsxD4Ak5eP./cz1...........m.GwDtCP9. ..cXcESLfz9.CXieHq7..1........../EU0.wzzz1...........s/...................E.2c.. zzzz............50...................2./8.kzzzD............8.................... /EU0.wzzz1...................................Up5I.U7EgU7ZTUZXp1.a.l0aYe1HirH.A06 QAWPMs6Qr..BbA/C8l0Fms/.a.l0aYyB7m3A.YXBbU1aQhqKd.U7EgU76w5crI0.a.l0akrTUSH7.M02 9MGpz/uBZ.U7EgU7...crIGJzzFoTuIdyzngi8qdxzZX.4rU................................ What a fantastic Ent, your image transfered me to Middle Earth immediately. You've found a very natural gradient as well for Mr. Ent, very well done, Glenn!

Sounds like you had a "happy mistake" of sorts. "The Arisen" was my most recent one. :) Very good piece! Tim

Very Ent-like indeed Glenn :) MB3D is so versatile. I love to use it for making backdrops for 3d renders.
