My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Excellent capture of the brass tones.

Oh, this just makes me drool, Tara! I love the contrast of the shiny, smooth brass and the dark, textured surface it's attached to. The completely black background and backlighting are superb. To quote Indiana Jones, "This belongs in a museum.." An ART museum..

A most wonderful and a kind of mysterious capture, my friend. TOP!

Yep. Looks like a pressure release valve to me...and that's only because Bill said so. This actually reminds me of something I'd expect to see on a Guild Hileigner from Frank Herbert's Dune universe. Maybe it's a melange pressurizer used to compress spice gas, because without spice, there can be no space travel. But that's just me going off on one of my normal tangents. I tend to do that, especially when looking at brass colored things! I love the light and shadow and the moodiness this epitomizes. Amazing!

Some type of valve it may be, but you've turned it into a work of art. Beautiful.

beauty is simple... excellent, Tara!
