Venice, The Frari’s Basilica. Monument dedicated to Paolo Savelli, the General f the Venetian troops, who died in 1405.
The equestrian monument is composed of a marble urn on which stands the General on horsebach. In the corner niches there is the Annunciation and in the centre the Madonna with the Child. The architectural structure dates to around the mid 14th century (probably the work of Rinaldino of France).
