Description
I know Rob has posted a couple of pics of this already but I'm still limited in what I can do at the moment..As I've already mentioned before,I love this plane but not the paint job (nose-art).I set out to get some pics without the "Red Bull" paintwork, quite happy with this one.
Well, Father-in-Law sitting continues.....he's up and about and complaining we don't let him do anything for himself. So Karen and I have decided we'll go home later in the week and see how he gets on.....
A few projects ongoing at 'The Plant' should see completion once I get back to my home computer, more on that soon.....

I loved the plane, AND it was great to see and hear it fly (a new one for me in flight!) But, as you say, not that keen on the paintwork! Oh well... Great work on the shot though mate! You take care out there .. Best wishes.. Rob

amazing picture!

Good to hear he's up and about mate and if he's anything like my elderly relatives complaining is a good sign he's feeling better. Cooling shot from the rear neil, more people need to zoom in on your posts as they miss so much detail otherwise.

Wow! Looks like a set of flying razor blades from this camera angle! Is there a paint job on this plane? Looks all shiney metal to me. Good photo work! Father-in-law up and about, complaining. Well, that's a positive sign of recovering one's capacities. I'll be looking foreward to what comes out of the Plant! A Neil machine, or a Tailspin concoction? Thanks for the post! Keep up the good work! :-)

my favorite plane of all time.

OMG, sterling POV in this shot of one of my favorite WWII fighters, the Lockheed P-38 Lightning, built in Burbank, California, where I used to work. Without the olive drab paint job, this one looks like one of the original models, especially with those tail markings.

Nice detail shot Neil!!! Into the P38 folder it goes. Glad to hear that your father in law is a pain. That means he's better.

Yeah, it does have the original kind of "prototype" look about it, doesn't it? Could be transported back to the factory with this capture. And an amazing machine!

Fantastic at the zoom! This was the first plane I could identify (flying overhead) as a child in the 1940s.
