My father bought one like this - in rough condition even for the times - in 1936 for $50. He and a friend fresh out of high school, drove to Mexico from Ohio. Got as far as the American side of the border and it broke down for the millionth time so they put it together with wire and quickly sold it for $20 and felt lucky to have gotten that much. The rest of their 3 month trip through central Mexico and the Yucatan was completed by bus. This was a great car back then and it still has that charm about it. Lovely photograph.
