Description

13 years ago I was handed a little fluffball. He kissed my chin and I was totally won over despite not really wanting another dog at the time. He has been a wonderful, loving sweet companion ever since. It is time to say goodbye to him. Our hearts are broken losing this very special special friend. ------------------ Sorry for the poor quality.. they are old snapshots. For those wondering about my lack of posts lately, I lost everything in a hard drive crash.. I thought it was being backed up, but very little actually was. I just have not been able to dredge up the energy to track down, reinstall and organize the software and content. I want to.. just completely overwhelmed.

My sympathies. I've been there and losing a dog, especially one as beautiful as your Kodiak, is losing family. You have my prayers for healing.

Sandy, I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your beloved Kodiak. He was an adorable guy and looked so happy here. To me our fur babies are like family so I sympathize with what your going through. I'll be sure to keep you and your family in my prayers

Sorry about your loss, so finely displayed here in the poignant dedication, Sandy. God has a lot to answer for in giving these magnificent animals such a short life span.

I've not been here for awhile, but I saw this and was heartbroken for you. I know what it's like to lose a beloved pet. Kodiak looks gorgeous, and I totally relate to taking a pet when you least expected to, and then the pet turns out to be deep and loving family. I'm so sorry Sandy, you have my deepest condolences. I hope you're doing ok too, I think of your health and well-being often. A great pet carries us as much as we carry them. May Kodiak's light carry you every day... And isn't it amazing that a hard drive's a 'tiny thing' but it becomes a mountain range when it goes bad??? I wish you success with the problem, in your own time. Don't worry about posting until you're ready. You've given a great deal to all of us. Much blessing and (((big hugs))) to you, and lots of light, Mark

Both my daughters have recently had to have their dogs put down, one a German Shepherd and the other a terrier, I know what a wrench it is.

Very sorry to hear about your loss, Sandy. I know very well how it feels to lose a loved one. There is nothing quite like the unconditional love of a pet. Sorry also to hear about your hard drive crash. I went through the same thing earlier this year, and still haven't fully recovered. Be patient and take care.

Sandy, I am so sorry for your loss of your sweet friend. It is always such a hard time when it happens. Our little Magnus is 13, so I know it soon can be our turn. And that you lost your harddrive too, is another big deal, that can be hard to take. We have so much of our life in it. I am sorry for that too. Hope you can get some of that stuff back.

Kodiak looked like he was a really cool dog. Sorry to hear he is no longer part of your lives. Pets are family members and their passing is always a sad occasion. Sorry to hear about your hard drive crash, too.

aww, this makes me want to cry. I had one that reminds me of Kodiak. There really is just nothing like a dog you truly bond to.

I am sorry sweetie. I know the pain of pet loss. :( But I always get a new one, my last two have been rescues. It is hard to cry when you are getting kisses. :) He will be waiting at the rainbow bridge for you.

Yes I can see love in his eyes, what a comfort they are in times of need, & lonely moments when gone. My little mate is beside me as I write this, he is 10 years old, so hope to have him a few more years. hugs Glenda.
