Oh honey. Come out here for a visit! I can show you horsetail plants until you scream. It's this prehistoric plant that never ever ever goes away, no matter how often you pull it. The roots go to the center of the earth. Anywhere it's wet and/or boggy, there they are. My garden is full of these critters. Every year we pull them up and every year they come back. It's because they're segmented, and they break apart at those joints. You can't dig them out, either. I let them go too long this year and ended up pulling out some that were three or four feet high. Yikes! I'll admit, they're beautiful. But really ... there are limits! Your photograph makes me look at them anew, and they really are lovely. But tomorrow I'm going to go out and keep yanking them out, even so! LOL!
