My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

It makes for a wonderful capture!

So dramatic! There are similar projections at the WWI museum in Kansas City. It's effective at creating the appropriate mood. Excellent low light shot!

Education id needed and VERY essential, I must insist here but, there is a place.. When you've a hanger full of avid photographers suddenly plunged into darkness every 30 mins or so, the chances of getting around said hanger are NIL! Forcing people to wait, or worse still watch the show when they either already know most it or don't want to see it, is never going to work... So they....leave.. The aircraft in the Hanger are VERY rare! They are in some cases the only ones of there kind, and people travel a LONG way to see them.. Respect to the people maybe, huh Clive.. THat said, this is an impressive shot!!!!!! Looks great! Well done! Rob P.S. Moan over .. lol
