Description
I have mentioned in passing that I have my first regular artist gig, doing character portraits for my friend Donovan Morningfire, on the games website Gaming Security Agency. (There my work is credited as "Agent 99," although the pieces have my usual signature.)
Currently I have 2 published pictures, a different Merribuck image and a teenaged modern wizard's apprentice. I also have one just needing a bit of post work and 2 more in the early stages. Early stages in this case means that I am showing Dono what's available in the way of clothing, props and looks for his requests. It's a lot of fun to go back and forth on details and so on.
I call this an outtake because it is one of several pictures (with varied poses, weapons & backgrounds) I did of this character--but not the one eventually used in the article. The article, with all the details about Mr. Merribuck is at http://gsa.thegamernation.org/2012/08/17/heroes-on-demand-ted-merribuck-hobbit-farmhand-2/
The big difference between this and the image picked is the background. This one is Fluffykat's 2d village, available free here at Renderosity, while the GSA picture uses a Daz Cyclorama.
Other Renderosity freebies used are Dyald's M4 Fable outfit, Gabrielle's staff and the M4 hobbit/halfling morph. Thanks to the artists who made all these for the community.
