last night was the first time for me to ever see one of the beautiful creatures in person and I got to see two of them. I think they are mates. when I was taking pictures, I had no idea as to what they were. only when I seen on the monitor, I realized that they are moths
they are extremely fast and only stay on a Lantana flower for about 5 seconds

They are looking like hummingbirds - we got some of them here too but there is seldom a chance to get a good capture.
