My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Very cool capture I'd wager that you're right about that

On a level, I don't think the house has changed that much either...it just...well...became more of what it is now, which was always there. Or something. This is nicely elegant and I love the way you've captured such expansive external space and the shadowy intimacies of internal, mostly-unseen space. Brilliant!

A glorious peep into a rural idyll. This is a superb photo, and I can feel that I am there.

Very neat old building and view. I wonder what the history of the old house would tell us?

WOW! Now I go back to my childhood, when I read Little house on the Prerie. THis is amazing that it still stands there. A wonderful shot, Tara :)

Lovely capture; I'm sure not much has changed around there. Did you see the wagon wheel ruts in the hills alongside the highway? They're from the original wagon trains that settled the area.

Neat capture reminds me of Little House on The Prairie Hugs Susan~

A magnificent photo, Tara. It has everything I love to see on a painting or picture. Amazing POV, light and colors. To be short: it's wonderful to me!

I LOVE this... your POV is just right here with the trees too. Many scenes like this North of where I live. These are the scenes I live to shoot. Thank you for reminding me so well of my love for this. :)

This is the sort of photo I envy. It doesn't try too hard; it's just "right". Effortless, involving, and engaging. My one nitpick though, IMHO, is it ain't horizontal.... Please forgive me?

The question is how long since it was new. It looks like a pioneer home. This is a perfectkly composed image. Light and color are just right.

This is absolutely wonderful, Tara! This gives me such a feeling of tranquility, and connection with the past. What stories are part of this old house, what became of the ones who lived here? One can only imagine...

Almost expect a hired hand to be wrangling a wild stallion in the distance :)

To me this really conjures up an idyllic moment of times gone by ... so dreamy and forlorn and yet so near, if that makes any sense - it does to me ... because you captured it perfectly, BB
