spiders are kinda creepy scary, but so cool at the same time. Sad too, to always live with the feeling of starving. great capture

That would have my other-half reaching for a can of insect-killer, possibly with flame thrower attachment...

Superb spider photo! I am ok with spiders as long as they do not get on my face when I do not expect it. When I am walking through dense cover, I usually have my walking stick out swinging it in front of me to dislodge any spiders hanging in my path.

Oh, my! The title says it all! A really good shot, Neil. It's not often one gets to see a photo of a spider in action, doing in an insect. This is one lucky shot! I, too, find spiders a bit creepy. I just don't know why. It may be the whole web thing. But looking closely at them, I find a budding interest and fascination with them - the mathematically correct geometry of the web (they make them over and over again without ever saying "Drat!" and giving up). That shows some form of intelligence. The typical insect way of walking. And what do they do when not spinning a web or waiting for the alarm bell to go off for dinner time? Hmmm.... Keep up the good work! :-)

Just bought a gizmo that looks like a small tennis racquet except there are batteries in the handle that allow electricity to run through the strings...great for shortening the life of an insect that intrudes upon my personal space;-) They even spark and smoke...
