Description

On the Cumbres & Toltec excursion train, our locomotive burned out a bearing. In railroad lingo a "hot box". They radioed for the reserve locomotive, which needed to get steam up. Ninety minutes later we were underway again. Here is 484 steaming across the plains. First in a series of pictures from our train trip from Antonito, CO to Chama, NM.
