Description
Oh how I wish it wasn't a dream.
The scenario - I have been asking Dave to clean the dogs freezer out, what seems forever :o). It is big & hard to reach the bottom. Also on the Monday morning as I had the dream early Tues, Meadow had come home full of sticky bobs :o(.
Right now to my dream - I was in the garage cleaning out the freezer (I couldn't wait any longer, so it seems) I was taking out loads & I mean loads of meat, which was fresh (thats odd for a start) thinking to myself "I will have to cook this meat but how will I do it." I just kept hauling this fresh meat & putting it into huge pans. On the floor I noticed, what we used to buy but carn't get now :o( a throttle with the windpipe attached. Yes I know it doestn't sound good but the collies I had years ago loved them. I decided that the girls could have the throttle there & then so I took it into the kitchen to halve for them, notice I said halve!!! As I was cutting it up I noticed I had 3 girls, I looked down & it was Carla 'B'. I went & sat on the settee in the other room & she came to, I started running my hands through her coat & she had sticky bobs in it & I removed them as I cuddled her. I knew it was Carla 'B' because she used to do this funny growl & I used to make her do it as I did while I was talking to her. I kept thinking to myself, "You shouldn't really be here" but I was so glad, so glad that I wanted to get my phone & text my friend Toniann to tell her "Carla is back." But then everything started to fade & I awoke really sobbing, not crying tears, just sobbing. Then I realised it wasn't real & downstairs were Meadow & Jasmine.
I have had this in my head for a couple of weeks now & can't get it out, it was so real. I thought by telling you it might help? Thanks for listening.
It was going to be the next chapter of the story today pic done, story isn't but I write it as I go along :o)

What a lovely photo! Aren't dreams peculiar?! I had a dream that a couple of weeks ago that I was being gassed in a Nazi concentration camp: wasn't frightening or anything! When I woke up naughty Rosie had produced a large sausage in the middle of my bedroom..hence the smell in the dream! I sleep with six windows wide open so the pong had gone. The Nazi bit came from all the talk about the German doctor who started the Paralympics who had fled from them before the war. So often we can't remember them, but if we could how many books could we write?!

I love this photo of Carla B Barbara, and I know when you told me your dream that it had made a big effect on you. It is a way of saying that she will always be part of your very being and is there in your mind even on those times that you don't think of her, she had a big personality so she had to make the biggest of impressions and impacts during her lifetime, and eventually any dreams of her will comfort you. Really strange as little snippets of what happens during a day can leak into our dreams at night too and make a whole new story, we have such complex minds don't we? Our dreams are strange at times I know recently I have been dreaming about my beloved Dad who died nearly 27 years ago, but he was there as large as life in my dreams as if he had never gone away, I take that as a great comfort now and it makes me remember him and the good times we had together throughout his life. love and hugs xxxxxxxxxxxx

This is a wonderful photo of Carla B, and it is clear just how much you loved her Barbara. Sis may have said it best that in a way she is always with you, and I think that was you recognizing it. I'll keep you in my prayers during this time as it must be difficult.

I sometimes dream about my lost dogs too. Makes you wonder if it's our need to remember and be with them or if they really do come to visit and comfort us every once in a while

Oh Barb, but it's a wonderful dream! I truly believe it's her way of letting you know she is fine where she is, but that she misses you, and that really, she hasn't left you. Gracie Anne comes to me in dreams .. and they are just that real. they never really leave us. I think because they are so woven into our hearts and we into theirs. I love this picture of Sweet Carla B.
