Description

Composite of three photos taken in rapid fire succession. Guy Dupuy jumping a Lamborghini and dunking. I was the exclusive official photographer for Guy Dupuy at this event, held at "The Distrct" (that's spelled right) in Liberace Plaza, Las Vegas NV on September 8, 2012. This photo is taken in near darkness with my Canon 5DmkII and 50mm lens without any flash. I typically don't use flash. Later I'll post a photo taken at almost the same instant but with flash - and you will see why I don't use flash. Viewers please NOTE that this and other images of this event are copyrighted and strictly monitored pursuant to agreement with Guy Dupuy - so please contact me (at my website noted below) for use of this or other images of Guy. I'm easy to deal with (really). Also, see my commercial sample photo gallery at shadowmihai.com/photography and if you are in Vegas (or maybe L.A.) contact me when you want professional photo services. Edit - Sept 19, 2012 - In response to Mikeerson: Yeah, I've been gone a while but I am working on a few new images. This photo, BTW is not "time lapse", which would be done on a tripod and a frame taken usually every second or so. This is hand-held in rapid-fire and I followed Guy through the jump. So when I composited the image, the perspective and covered changed slightly on the car and basketball hoop from frame to frame. So I had to actually extend the photo edges and then build the car and hoop from separate photos and finally deal with the changed perspective in each. Guy is actually in the correct place, and the center picture of him in the air is the one which goes with the background and is as taken.

Amazing! I've heard that the newer technology allowed for no flash to be used. I'm so behind on the latest and greatest.

november 29th,2008 was your last listed upload.... I remember your avatar, I've been here 6 years... was that the last time you uploaded here? if not, I'm guessing at least 2 years ago, what have you been up too? awesome picture, I saw the car and the hoop and though these guys were walkin on the car - that's like a hundred and 50 thousand dollar car, isn't it? great time laps photography.
