Description
We had met two other Italians at the beach. Massimo and Giorgio were nice guys and, I admit, sometimes I liked them more than Grace. After three days it was time for me to leave. We had agreed to meet the next morning for a group shot but Grace had wandered off with some new acquaintances and Massimo and Giorgio could not seem to get out of bed. So I finally had to leave without the pictures and without goodbyes. Rushing to catch the airport bus and the flight that would take me to Nairobi, I passed the one-legged beggar I'd been feeding and said my goodbyes. I left him the last of my Kenyan money. I arrived in Nairobi just in time to catch my New Year's Eve flight to Amsterdam. The last day didn't end quite the way I had planned but I have my pictures and my memories.
