My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!Â

How lovely it all looks now sweetie. A fine result, after Bill mows this, ship him over to the UK, I hate mowing LOL! I like your presentation here my friend, and once again have a cracker of a 2WA, you both have earned it!

Great project. Congratulations.

Isn't landscaping just so much fun!? I don't get to do enough of it, but I can understand the grass-mowing thing; it smells so good! It's the smell, I think; freshly mowed grass always reminds me of the smell of a watermelon's green skin once it's been cut. I love the progression of shots here, and the retaining wall/steps are so deliciously well done! I would be rather excited if moss started growing there as well! This is super!

I have to say I love the results, but I hate doing the work.I do it, though, because it must be done. Kind of chicken vs egg sort of thing Looks good, T and B.

Thanks for the description. At first I thought you spent your summer vacation taking pictures of a Winnebago. ;-) Nice series of pictures. You all did a great job. I understand Bill's obsession. I think its a holdover from little boys' fascination with dirt. So for Halloween can we expect a post from you on "I know what you did last summer"?

Well, cool! When I get ready to put pavers in that little dirt area outside my back door, I know who to call for advice! LOL! That really looks great, Tara! You and Bill make a great creative team! Next thing you know you'll have your own show on HGTV! LOL!

Looks like a great place for a vacation so glad you had fun...were lots of others around excellent collage as well Hugs Susan~

Pretty swanky! Isn't it nice when a project comes together? Actually it DOES look like you've painted grass onto the last picture. Which makes me think of several houses I saw in Florida that had front "yards" that were obviously made of poured cement that had then been painted kelly green. Of course you see a lot of strange things in Florida... Mowing grass is a guy thing, with history, and traditions and folklore all it's own. Joe Walsh has gone on record as saying he wrote "Rocky Mountain Way" while mowing his lawn. And there you have it. Looks like a summer well spent.

This is such a wonderful looking place; not surprising you spend so much time there!

Hope we get to see and hear more about this project!

Ah, the home away from home...it's a wonderful piece of work you two have done here!

Wow, this fine series of shots gives me a chance to step back from our project and enjoy the end result...I've been so busy watering lately I haven't really reflected on our landscaping that began in earnest in late June. Just where did our summer go? Or the better question, what do we do to top this next summer? ;-)

Nice work my friends! A fine construction scheme worthy of The Hoover Dam! ;-) Really though, looking good! Well done.. Rob

Very impressive project & a great looking result. Fortunately, I'm allergic to mowing the lawn & start sneezing immediately if I attempt it, so my wife gets to do it instead...
