Description
Browsing my 'summer' photos this evening, I was about to bin this one, till I noticed a wee visitor. The thistle was on the banks of Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland, near to the castle used in the 'Game of Thrones' TV series. This little ladybird was hidden from me. I feel that it is another, small, gentle reminder that God is involved in even the smallest things in our lives, just waiting to reveal even more of Himself and His love for each of us, His children. Today has just been a day of surprises and welcome, new challenges. God has surely sent me to my bed fully trusting in His providence. May you all be enfolded in His love, and experience proper awe and wonder at His creation, and His deep interest in your welfare. God bless us all.

Thistles are among my favorite plants and then to see a ladybug as well...WOW! Nature always provides some of the most interesting, beautiful things to brighten any day...unfortunately, too many people fail to notice it. Ladybugs are among my favorite insects, but in all honesty, there are very few insects I dislike. Oh, there are a few, but ladybugs (and most beetles) aren't on that list. Funny. Cockroaches are beetles as well, and I don't actually dislike them; I just feel that since they don't pay rent, they shouldn't live with me. Ah, but I'm rambling. This is a marvelous shot and from where I come from, ladybugs are rarely yellow and so this is a double treat, unless they're cucumber beetles, but this has a ladybug shape. So that thistle is safe!

A lovely sign of spring. It's been a long and tenacious winter in Canada this year. It's really nice to see signs and colours of spring at last.
