Description

That's right, fungi, the rarest of the rarest kind of growth in my area, captured 9/6/12, early in the AM, about a quarter of a mile from my place. A ZOOM would be worthwhile. Andrea should be able to name its particular family/genus with no problem. I was really fortunate in finding this outcrop. Actually, not only is fungi rare around here, this is the only style it comes in when it does pop up. Toodles, and have a nice day.

I can't do an ID Harry! I need to see the underneath, and the stem etc. Also the smell is helpful. But great to see you do have some!

Excellent captures. They look like meadow mushrooms (Agaricus campestris), but I'm not sure.

I don't know what they are either; fungus isn't my strong point, but these I recognize from having them pop up in our yards for years. I only know them as toadstools! Lovely capture of this healthy bunch, Harry.
