Luckily for the friends they had managed to get the last cart of puppies back to Mrs Bonga's. Mrs Bonga asked the friends what were they going to do about the smelly lady who had been stealing the pups. "Have you any ideas." asked Jasmine. "Well I think you ought to get PC Copper from the village & take him to the house." said Mrs Bonga. "Do you think he would go with me or even believe me?" asked Jasmine. "I am sure he would, we can show him the pups & see what he says." she replied. So Jasmine & Meadow went to see PC Copper & asked him if he would go & see if they could find the smelly lady as she was due back at the shed where the pups were kept anytime soon. PC Copper told them that he loved dogs & would certainly go with them as soon as possible. The girls decided Jasmine would go with PC Copper & find the smelly lady. So off they set, Jasmine led the way & soon they came to the shed. They could hear some voices coming from inside. "Now then, let me go first." said PC Copper, walking in front of Jasmine. "Slowly, slowly catchey monkey." They crept to the window & looked through. They saw a lady, who Jasmine presumed was Smelly lady, she was quite nicely dressed & with her was a funny looking fella. "Alfred what has happened to the pups, I thought you had made sure they couldn't get out." shouted Smelly lady. "But, but I checked there were no holes & anyway where is Hippy Hazel, she should have been looking after them" Alfred replied, feeling very worried. Well, they are not here, so where are they?" she yelled. "EEERrrrmmmm, shall I go & look outside?" Alfred said. "Well, that would be no good, did we see any as we were coming up to the shed, NO, so why would we find any out there now?" she yelled. "I am expecting a family to come & pick a pup, what do I do now? Poor Alfred didn't really know what to do, he felt quite scared. Unbeknown to them, someone was watching them from the window. "We have had a many complaints about this lady, her name is Vera & she lives in the big house down the road. She has been seen with lots of pups & people were beginning to complain that she had a puppy farm." said PC Copper. If she is a quite wealthy lady, why do people call her smelly lady?" asked Jasmine. "Its not because she smelly horrid its because she always wears very strong expensive perfume." he said. "Oh is that why?" Jasmine laughed. "Anyway, leave this to us, we will sort Vera out, the complaints will hopefully make sure she does nothing like this again." said PC Copper. Jasmine was pleased things were going to get sorted, she set off on her way back to the Bonga's to tell them the story & hopefully tomorrow the pups would be reunited with their rightful owners.
