i would like to thank my dear friend Naomi/Lunchlady for sending me this new package with bg's lights and poses by her and Sveva called mystic steampunk.. killer stuff!!
i highly appreciate the comments and frienships i share with you all. thank you for the visit.
would like to share this odd thing that might be some sorta of scam. i being broke have put a few items on craigslist, the item in question is a curio cabinet i put up for sale. there were a couple of bullshit yes i'll take it things, but no back replies on them. i had one person that said he wanted it and would pay me and extra $40.00 if i held it for him until he got a check sent, i replied back saying it had to be a cash only thing. reply was the check will be a cerified check with the curio cabinet amount and additonal funds for some movers he was to send over. i was let him know when the check cleared in the bank to pay the movers and my part. i had asked him where he lived and he never would mention it. he said he needed my name, addy and phone. i gave that part to him. he said the check would be sent fed ex in a few days. i got this check today for $2,495.00, i was in disbelief. the envelope that had the check was mailed from uniontown pa. why would someone pay me 390 for a cabinet unseen? i thought this person lived in the city where i live. can't he find a cabinet locally? and since when does it cost two thousand plus dollars to ship something to pa? so i did not deposit this check i e-mailed him back saying he would have to pay the movers himself, and not my responsibility and also he would have to send me a money order for the cost of cabinet. i sent my message this morning and have heard nothing back..

sounds like a scam to me... something way too fishy about it. this image on the other hand... way cool use of shading and shadows... very nicely done!

The moment you deposit that check, he'll have your bank account number. I own an business, where I can draft/withdraw funds from anyone's account. I would NEVER do that as I would get caught. And lose my business; But if some one gets several of guys like you to do that, the clean up, move. And it's VERY hard to find them. SCAM... for sure. NOW the Render: Excellent work. Love the lighting and the concept. Well placed props. Excellent all the way around...

Cool work as always man. Yeah, that sounds pretty scammie to me too. I'd maybe try one of them Check Cashing places that do 2nd and 3rd party checks, not your account so that's not on you, if they cash it your're 2.5k richer and dude can go fornicate with a Porkupine. Peace

First, this picture is excellent. Great character and the lighting blends perfectly with the background. Superb work. You can take the check to the bank and they can run the routing numbers and see what's authentic or not. They might even appreciate you bringing this to their attention if it is scam. It's odd for them sending a check of that amount with having never seen the item. If it's some grand antique, you'd better off finding a collector close by.

Gorgeous image, wonderful lighting and color choices! You made the right move to not deposit that check! I would call law enforcement and report this, it is most certainly a scam to get your account number and info.

I agree with adorety... let the bank have a look at the check and they can let your know the truth as to it's legitimacy... then decide. that way too, they have a good lead for the cops on the guy if he is a crook. I love this image Steve... Man it's awesome. Great scene and pose and fantastic lighting and mood.

First of all, this is a wonderful piece of work, Steve! Beautiful lighting and composition. A very nice dedi for Naomi and Sveva. Secondly, you have to watch it with Craigslist. I've never posted things on there, but I know people who have and they say you have to be wary. I'd go with what Art said. Tempting to go with what Len said - to rip a scammer, but this guy now has your address and phone number. Don't give anyone that information until it's a done deal hon ;)

Take the check to your bank and have them take a look at it. They should be able to tell you an thing or two about it. Very nice image.

Yes Steve scam for sure, You will not hear from him again. These people make me mad, someone tried to do something similar to my son with a car, said he was overseas ect. ect.He would only deal outside pay pall. Back to your product, wonderful composition with lots of thought put into it.well done.

If your banker is serious (does this exist ?) he/she can investigate, just in case but it sounds like a scam. As to your image, it's fantastic, one of your best among very great ones.
