Description
This delicate tiny flower was called Indian Paintbrush by the locals. The photo was taken at Lake Minnewanka, in the Canadian Rockies maybe 20 years ago. Photo from my old Pentax and scanned.

Indian Paintbrush is a favorite right next to the bluebonnet in Texas. I have a story book with the old tale of how the flower got it's name. Wonderful photo.

Lovely shot this one looks like Castilleya sessiliflora although I could be wrong, the book also calls it Giant Plains Paintbrush but I find common names can change a lot. Nice shot and a great scan.
