Description

My last upload showed a couple of baby birds in my hands and asked you to guess what kind of birds they are. Well, I don't know how he did it but, Mike Anderson guessed correctly! They are baby cardinals! Above you see an image of a male cardinal I captured a few years ago. Perhaps he is a relative. Father? Grandfather? Who knows? I took this picture with my Nikon D70s and 400MM telephoto lens. So Mike Anderson ... congratulations! You are the winner!!!!!!!! Your prize?? UMMMMMMMMMM, HMMMMMMMMM ... watching the Broncos flounder all season like my Pats??? LOL! Looks like a bad season is shaping up for both of us buddy! Oh ... by the way, just yesterday I saw two juvenile males flying out of the hemlock bush in my front yard. I like to think they are the two babies I rescued a few weeks back. Thanks for the look and any comments you wish to leave.

A really good shot of this cardinal, Mike! They're so skittish around here, I've not got a decent photo of one, yet. Broncos? Pats? ......So what did I win to deserve watching the Chiefs stumble all over themselves? :-D

birds have a way of feeling they're safe around people that have taken care of them and have fed them, so chances are very high that those birds that flew out are your friends.... now how did I know these were cardinals, facial characteristics and I recall when I was a child being told cardinals grow into their colors... NOW ABOUT MY PRIZE.... lol.... I got news for you, the Broncos showed up today ready to play and kept the Raiders out of the Endzone while they piled on the points... Realistically, the Broncos could of and should of beat all the teams they've played - there are a lot of new faces, players, coaches on this years team... they are jelling, but they probably won't be looked at as a powerhouse team until they kick you Patty Wag'n Tails NEXT WEEK - yeah, you heard me, our teams play next week IN YOUR TOWN! So, since I didn't get a prize for the right guess, I think I want my prize to be you making a picture of your pats getting beat by my Broncos - of course you can wait til the game is over next weekend, but I want you to make a picture documenting My BROs Kicking your Pat's Ass = lol
