The Tower shows us the folly of building our lives on a foundation of falsehoods, self-deceit, and willful ignorance. Lightning has caused The Tower to crumble, and we fall to a harsh landing as the floor caves in. While The Tower is brutal in its warnings, it also offers a ray of hope. When the crumbling illusions that we've sold ourselves finally fall away, we are truly able to see the hard truth and -- if we accept it -- we can build anew on a solid foundation. Breaking old habits and facing painful truths can be frightening and if we are not careful, guilt and shame may erode the new foundation we've discovered.
