Brad Pitt and I share the exact same birthday (month, day, year) outside of that, our stories diverge considerably. Mr. Pitt went on to become an internationally famous superstar, while I have led the much more interesting life of the starving artist. I come from a long line of storytellers (whose gift for gab stretches back through the mists of time to our native Ireland) and professional malcontents who were seemingly born to create something in the arts, be it music, writing, sculpture, painting, or photography. I started writing at age 12 with a screenplay with my cousin Ryan about a planet where everyone looked like Elton John entitled "Don't I Know You?" More screenplays followed, several of which received epic Super-8 production with budgets that sometimes ran up to $10. A few even had sound!  More writing followed: songs, poems, short stories, numerous unfinished novels, etc.. Somewhere in there was an attempt at being a rock star...
Still living at home, at age 22, my father dropped an elderly Nikromatt 35-mm film camera into my lap, in the hopes that I would "make a go of it" as a photojournalist. That didn't happen, but I did develop an abiding love of photography that along with writing and archival work have been among the chief passions of my life. When it comes to my photography, I try to be as creative as possible while at the same time striving for a documentary/archival quality. The only set rules I adhere to, when it comes to making pictures are: 1.) Try not to make the picture blurry, and 2.) Don't drop the camera.

Excellent capture here, amazing colors and lighting!

Maybe you could call it 'Anticipation' going by the expressions on their faces. It is a great capture with excellent colour and light.

I am sure that there are quite a number of titles that could come to mind with this. You could take the Samuel R. Delany route and give it a name like: Contemplations of Motion with Flowers, with Frowns, or simply give it more commonplace names like: Patience with Flowers or A Funny Thing Happened on the Way To or even: Patience with Hat, Flowers, and Lips. Or just: "Westbound." There's quite a variety of lips in this shot: pursed lips, tight lips, beard-enhanced lips just moving into the frame. I love the light in this and I remember when you took it. This is such a Chicago shot. The colors are amazing and I love the rakish angle.

I think just "Riding The Bus" works fine. Love the colors, and the angle!!

Fabulous pic, Corey! She is wishing she had eaten a rather more fibrous diet on the preceding day. (I know that feeling and that expression myself). I leave it to you to think of a title using that thought!

I reckon you should call it 'Who broke wind' - that's nothing to be sniffed at!!! A super candid.

Superb capture my friend. God Bless.

I'm getting a kick out of this. The lady with the hat looks like she is playing innocent and the one with pursed lips looks like she smells something unpleasant. You could call it "Who Me?" or "I Didn't Do It." Really like the light and POV. Nice work.

"I'm not any fonder of you, than you are of me..." seems to be written in their faces. As if they are not sitting so close, as if the age difference is a sin, and both feeling they are a bit superior over the other. I certainly can't see these two standing in a kitchen together baking cookies. LOL Great shot with the evening sun glow.

Autumn Light on a Westbound Bus Wonderful picture! I haven't been commenting much either. Busy out here in real life land! :P It's always good to see you, whether posting or commenting. Do you know it's been exactly a year??

How about " A Trio of Photographers", since the Flower Lady seems to have attracted more attention than just your own? Love this picture, Corey. Hope you are well.

"Hidden Passions on Display" She's wearing a dress with VERY large and bright flowers. You don't do that by accident. I think there is a lot of passion for life and merriment behind that carefully blank stare. I wonder if she is going to meet equally exuberantly dressed friends. I don't think the lady with purple nail polish likes bright, flowery fabric much. Excellent shot! Wonderful colors, light, and expressions. I like the tilt too.
