Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

An image like this reminds me of the old saw, you can't cry over spilt milk, because that's what I thought of when I first saw it. Of course, this is milk times a zillion in this awesome shot with its sharp contrast, Maz.

A fantastic POC and capture Marilyn. Sometimes I forget that Yosemite Falls is not one single fall!

WOW!!! I think this shot was worth getting wet for. The angle and composition captures the feeling of actually being there. As stated in some of the other comments I can almost feel the moisure and hear the roar of the water cascading down the mountain. Thank you for sharing.

Super segment shot! Did you go all the way to the top?

You were very lucky to be there at that time. I was there in June of this year and there was "NO" water coming off the falls at all! :-(
