Description

Promenade : (1) A stroll or walk in a public place, for pleasure or display. (2) An area used for such walking. Couldn't pick one so...just goes to show though, when you're young and in love nothing else matters. This young couple passed me laughing and cuddling and dripping wet....probably headed home for a hot shower (seperately of course). Oh! and somebody site mailed me with a nice comment on yesterdays picture and said it looked good for surfing....well from this angle.....maybe not...

Maybe I don't want a house boat after all. Beautiful picture of nature's fury.

Oh my! You really seem to have some roiling seas there! I love photos like this. When young, I liked being outside in weather like this. It was dramatic. Thanks for posting and for reviving some dear old memories! If I had this close by, I'd be out there with my camera, too! Keep up the good work! :-)

I believe I like the first one to the left best because it has the incredible water display, long lines of the pier and conveys the emotion in the sea. Stunning shots, all.

I can barely imagine this! Our seas here are generally so calm, being on an inland waterway. This is amazing!

These also explain why I can't understand those folks around the world who want to buy a house a few steps away from the ocean. Idiots! On the other hand, I remember back in my late 30s when I ran stark naked around the house in a rainstorm. It was pitch black and way after midnight. Just wanted to have the experience of it. Like taking an icy cold shower that you could not get out of! Brrrr! Still shiver when I think how cold it was. It was August in Kansas, so I guess I thought it would be a nice warm shower. Boy! Was I ever wrong!
