Description

Midway food... even the most ardent junk-food junkie will tell you that it's not good for you... however, you take someone who's main yearly diet consists of Big Macs, KFC, Kraft Dinner, and sody pop, even they can't wait for the Midway Food.... There's something about the smell, the taste... the expectation of this once a yearly treat that boggles the senses. Maybe it's the neon, humming, blinking, flourescent lights drawing us in like moths... we get close to the cart and something happens to us... $5 for a single slice of za? yeah, why not? Ice Cold root beer... oh yeah, that would hit the spot right now... you can hear your stomach growling, in anticipation of that silly little treat that defines the midway... mini donuts, deep fried elephant ears, corn dogs, shaved ice.... oh man, can't wait.... can feel my arteries hardening as I think about next year... gettin' good with the growlies. Using available light is always tricky, flo's and neons especially, since they are a cool light, but they give a distinct pattern to an image, unlike halo's and IC's... took the shots as fast as I could, even tho had a press pass to do so,I didn't want to intrude on everybody's good time... comments welcome, please enjoy!

i remember when i was 4-5 years old. on one of hist rare lucid moments(lol) my dad took me to the village fair (he got drunk along the way as usual )and there was this popcorn stand.my father told me the owner was a russian immigrant. wow what die i know at that age about russian immigrabnts??lol. the guy had something mystique to me because it sounded so good. even years later when i saw him i always thought about it and greeted the old man. must be around 110 years of age by now or rather dead i presume.
