Description

The post "Nestled in"(seen top of second page in the gallery), showed the view framed on both sides by Sandstone. This image is a closer look at the left wall for some details. The difference between why this is called a fin and the other post I labeled a shelf, the thickness of course. The fin here is only a few centimeters in thickness and almost a meter in width at it's widest point. Always a thrill to find these in such pristine condition. The flame pattern in the Sandstone under the fin is better seen in zoooooom! To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! Thank you all that viewed my last image below. thumb_2377494.jpg

This is a very delicate bit of sculpting - so fragile. A very good thing that people don't get to this place often or it would be broken. Beautiful 'flames' too. Nice capture, Dana!

Amazing how thin this fin is, it is a wonder it has stayed in tact. A wonderful capture.

In all my desert rat years I don't recall ever seeing a fin. This is splendid. And that flame is also fantastic. Great capture and a great bit of framing.
