Description
Yesterday I found this strange insect inside a papaya tree trunk. Never seen anything like it and I think we both took a good scare. I would like if someone recognizes it, please let me know what kind of insect is. I love his eyes, 70's alien type .It is much like an insect of my post called "Last look to light" but I think it is not the same type

One doesn't know where the head starts or finishes ??? It's a little miracle to say the least ... how sublime is this? I have never come across anything like it, I bet Chipka would be totally absorbed by this amazing little critter, might do some googling - it is just awesome, Neto! That is a new one for me also. Cool photo my friend and an excellent zoom. Are those eggs in the background – if so – you might have an explosion of population. I have not seen any bugs with eyes so close together.

A fantastic capture, dear friend. It looks like that bug has a carpet on his back. In a way it seems that he comes out of a dark mysterious hole. Maybe it's "The Halloween-Bug" ;-)

Very cute little one. I believe this is a type of Weevil. Looks like it is looking downward, so it's snout is resting close to the bottom of the body. Very cool guy, Nice shot.
