Description
An ancient Mayan calendar that has been accurately keeping time for thousands of years will inexplicably run out of dates some time around the Winter Solstice in 2012. How will the world end?

Human history serves as a very good reference for examining the notion that when large groups of visitors arrive from beyond the trees, the hills, or the waters, they are not likely to be motivated by good intentions. So it should not come as a surprise that since the 19th century, lots of books and movies have attributed the same imperialistic qualities to visitors from beyond the stars. But that's all just science fiction, right? Perhaps. Practically all of the original military personnel at Area 51 are dead now. And earlier this year, NASA telescopes were taking photos of solar activity and caught an image of what appeared to be a cloaked starship parked near the planet Mercury. Of course, NASA explained that it was something else. Of course.
