Description

Just back from my trip to the Southwest. Had a great time & saw some of the most fantastic landscapes I've ever seen - it felt like I was visiting another planet at times. Took over 2,000 photos, of which I will pick out a few of the best to share, probably in rough chronological order (with the most spectacular coming towards the end of the trip, so hang in there). This was taken in Old Town in Albuquerque, which is the city we flew into. Didn't allocate much time to Albuquerque because we had so much ground to cover, but this courtyard is fairly representative of the flavor of Old Town, which is pretty touristy, but colorful & worth a quick visit at least. The cathouse depicted here sells cat-related items & is not a house of ill repute...

What a beautiful scene! I love southwestern architecture, there's something very comfortable about the soft edges and bright colours. Looking forward to seeing more of your shots!

I love this rustic and simple construction. Everything is used and it looks cozy. And the colors bring life. So I can imagine a garden plot for me.
