Description

this is on board the USS Lexington at Corpus Christi,TX on a lower deck where the planes were stored and repaired. they were lowered on an elevator I am thinking but I never seen it the curvature was from my 15mm fish eye.I did not correct it on purpose in order not to lose part of the big picture

that's how they move the planes. usually a nodern carrier will have four elevators to allow movement of aircraft from the hanger deck to the flight deck Cool shot

Cool capture & effect! I forget they did not have jets in WWII, but this plane does not even look military! Did jets ever take off from the USS Lexington?
