Greetings everyone. LONG TIME since I've been here :)
I'm busy writing a novel and decided to share a poem that was inspired by one of my characters. She's obviously heartsore... lol

Shattered heart
Deep gashes
penetrate my heart
Already tattered
and dented
from previous losses
I scream
silently,
Hot tears shred my skin
leaving silver slivers
of icy lava
I want to sleep
till the pain subsides
but then I’d sleep away
the rest of my existance.
I cannot,
will not!
ever
love again
There is nothing
but agony left
inside
the deep hole
that was my heart.
