Description

my failed attempt to win the second prize in the halloween contest. really was liking that poser 2012 for my collection. thanks to all who might have voted for this image. and i appreciate you all stopping by for a look. my poser and photoshop are giving me havoc, still after doing a disc defrag, my phoroshop worked for a few days, now it will not let me do much due to the scratch disc error i get. i have files that the disc defrag will not eliminate, over 40% red frags. time to clean my drive and start all over by reformatting it all. so if i decide to go this route, i will not be posting for quite some time. i can still render ok in poser, just doing the post work is the prob. it's a hassel to keep transfering files from one computer to the other for the post work, i do have a workable photoshop on this computer, just does not have all the fonts as my other. i work with poser and normaly ps on my main one, this computer is for online work mainly. working on my november calendar, not sure how long due to the probs.. lol Steve my last: Halloween thumb_2381466.jpg

I like this Steve... dark, but sweet! I tried winning too, any of those prizes would have been awesome. But, alas... such is life, eh? Good luck with the computer man, I hate problems like that. I always end up losing or somehow leaving behind a lot of my runtimes.

Steve, so sorry to hear about your computer problems! I have a suggestion for you about how to painlessly transfer files back and forth between computers and that is, using Dropbox to do it (dropbox.com). You can install it on however many computers you have and each one will have a Dropbox folder installed. If you move an image on one computer to its Dropbox folder, you can find it on your other computers and just open it in Photoshop-- so no need to transfer using flash drives or anything like that. I LOVE it! Hope you get your issues worked out so we can see more of your great renders soon!

Bummer. I know its not 2012, but if you don't have Poser 9, it goes on massive discount tomorrow. You could download THE GIMP to post work your files for a while. Free, but a PITA. Sorry, buddy. I like your render. ")

Excellet imagery man, super work. What Defragger/Optimizer are you using, hopefully not the Built-in Windows one, worst Defragger of them all, try AusLocic Defrag/Optimizer, it never leaves anything hanging, on any puter I"ve used it on, and don't forget the Resistry too. Peace

I think all of us who entered would have liked at least a couple of those prizes. I know I would have. Did she turn her boyfriend into a mouse and forgot how to bring him back? He looks so sad :( But at least she's still taking care of him. Beautiful work Steve and best of luck with your computer issues!

Fantastic looking image Steve, I think it should've won. As for your computer, I would consult with someone like Rene. The guy is a genius when it comes to computers

Oh, I loved this one. Sorry it did not win. It is so touching and you did an amazing job of postwork on it. Gorgeous color choice and lighting too. I would not worry about recovery of fonts; there are tons of free fonts on line and fonts are not loaded into photoshop anyways, they are loaded into windows.

can you not clone the harddisk on an external one and format the scratched one and reclone back?? and yes the fonts are installed in windows are you using windows defrag or a 3rd party program.??. try PCSuite defrag pro (free with licence key)just google the best site for you.

I'm trying to think your thoughts on Unhappily ever after... is she taking the cheese away and telling the rat he's going to go live (for a short time) with her pet snake? lol

Technology... more hassle than it's worth. Good luck getting that sorted. Love this image. The squeeker looks worried about accepting the cheese... is she fattening him up for something??
