You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

Is this part of your 'Zombie Flower Series'? Gogeous color but somewhat menacing.

How very peculiar this is! Of course we don't grow this outdoors here so it is completely alien to me to see it at this stage. Amazing!

A beautiful shot of a flower that is unknown to me BB.

Wow! Fascinating! I'm in the same sort of climate as Andrea, so I don't get to see this, either. What a beautiful thing!

How special is this one, Brigitte. Never seen, never heart from this kind of flowers. Well, flower, it looks more like coming out of a weird moovie-scene ;-). I looked on the Internet to find this kind of plant, but nothing looks as stunning as this great creepy one. A perfect performance you made with it, dear friend. Thinking off you all the time. And the time will come, I'll write you :D, ;-)!

How amazing to catch it in this colour to give it this spooky look. It would have made a great halloween posting. Great to see it has started into the new growing season.

What a royale color!

In the preview, it looks like a fractal. And I thought, WOW. And as I looked right, I thought, WOW ... WOW. This plant looks really crude in this picture. This "crow feet" reminded me of the woodoo rituals. That's creepy. But the Frangipani is a wonderful plant. Here, however, rare. Julchen

I think that it is a beautiful color and a great capture Brigitte. It is nice to see things that don't grow where we live.

That purple is almost iridescent- shifting between blue values at different angles. Quite a find, and a lovely capture!

Another one of your beautiful finds.

The color and shine remind me of an insect. I had a series of dreams one night about giant ants taking over the world. In each dream I was watching a newscast and they were getting closer and closer. In the last one the newsman said they would attack someone who was alone. You guessed it. I was totally alone. I decided not to go back to sleep for a while. That was many years ago, but now I see a giant insect claw rising out of my laptop. Sleep? . . .Sleep? . . . I don't think so. Great shot! The color is fantastic. I like your sculptures series so far, and look forward to seeing more.

(there's lucinda again...man, it's good to see her on RR...) Another of your pics where you take an object and make it jump off the page. You say you didn't change the color of the frangipani, but by placing it against that very bright, saturated yellow, you made a real jolt of a shot. (More opposites on the Color Wheel: more complementary colors---you have an innate knack for using these contrasting hues, you use them with real energy). It blasts forth into the background: Really bold and eye popping. And the sheen (which Lucinda talks about) is unreal: I mean, I know it's a real flower, but your light and such makes it look ceramic. Terrific bold portrait of an amazing flower; and even your signature is in a harmonizing purple...
Brigitte, I'm at 45 minutes, and I must get some sleep. I didn't realize how late it was when I came to your gallery. I'll come back soon. It's great to go romping through your offerings and choosing at random. You have so much life in this place. I hope you're doing well (in your summer); and I hope all's well in your life over all. Great stuff here!
