Description

What better way for the Grommets, than to spend a weekend 'learning to how to surf' in Queensland, providing they can all swim and that's a natural for most children here. We are very lucky to have the Laurie Lawrence Swim Schools, our famous swim coach of the Olympic teams, to drive that message home and to make it compulsory for every child/baby, to learn to swim. ... and what a coincidence for a Tri-maran to go past and give those little surf-ratz a sign of 'encouragement' - with a name like that! Cheers Brigitte ---------------- PS: a late correction, thanks to Wysiwig, it was a Tri-maran and not a Tri-marine as originally quoted by me ... oops!

What a wonderful shot and interesting story attached to it. I think that here in the UK all children should learn to swim being as we are surrounded by water, and never that far away from it. hugs Jane xx

A super capture with the boat sailing past at exactly the right moment. All children should learn to swim I reckon, especially when we are surrounded by so much water. The sea looks so interesting in this shot too.

We've been swimming at the pool twice a week, but it's nothing like this, even in the wild part!!

I see part of the curriculum is avoiding being run down by sailboats. A great shot. How did you know trimarans were my favorite?

Such a wonderful photo, superb showing here, Brigitte. How very much I would like to join that amazing club of young people. This photo really is full of joy. Hoping they didn't met a shark on their way ;-). I too love how you captured the waves on the sea. Thank you very much for your lovely Goethe-poem. I just love the German language very much, as of course that words you wrote by me. Take care, dear friend!

hah! surf school for the first days of spring... you people in the future have it all knocked.. (and yeah great shot of the name of the tri ...) I can swim.. although I prefer to just float with a cold one in my hand... we can't swim out doors now... to damn cold... and we do surf in Canada, off the west coast, a place called Tofino... big, green, and seriously cold waves....
