Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

I had never eaten fresh pineapple until very recently (silly me!) and was astounded at how good it is. This is making my mouth water!

Thank you Errol, and excellent work! Your method worked very well on my oranges, and squeezing the skins even yielded about a cup of juice...I'll slice closer next time. I am anxious to try it out with a pineapple but they did not have any at my local SuperStore, but probably will soon! Every time I see pineapple it reminds me of touring the Dole Pineapple Factory on Oahu back in 1969. It was amazing to watch how the workers made all the different products, and I liked having fresh pineapple juice on tap! And nothing was wasted, virtually all of each pineapple was used.

Yummy!! And I guess you get fresh ones... I am jealous.

wonderful photo and colours

Splendid portrait of the pineapple, diced into several parts, Errol. My local market carries canned pineapple in sliced, chunk, crushed and tidbit varieties. Actually, I've seen special pineapple cutters, parers and splicers advertised in catalogs that I get in the mail.

I'll have a BIG piece thanks!

This looks yummy and very tempting and your video shows it clearly how to peal them but with the price of whole pineapple down here we are inclined to eat just about every part of them including the core. They are much cheaper in the tin.

oh I wish I bought that pineapple i saw in the store today. I would have tried out the way they cut it on youtube lol

I am allergic to the pineapple for sale here, but in the Philippines I was eating a whole pineapple by myself in two days along with mangoes I would surmise that the pineapple in Hawaii most be like Philippine pineapple being not to citric. sure looks delicious
