Brazos Bend
This was cool, The further we went down the path the more vultures we saw in this tree. I think there were about 30 in the tree. 17 on this branch.
Obviously a roosting spot.

In Dickinson we have a tree on the bayou that is like this serving as a roost for several dozen buzzards. I absolutely adore buzzards.

vulchers eat dead animals... they may try to kill you first - a pack of them could be deadly - if there were 30 bees sitting there staring at you, would you be more afraid of them? I wouldn't. ya ever see an eagle pick up a rabbit? ... I would be very careful around something like this you have no guarrantees these guys aren't starving and desperate.

they look all tired out from the long migration from around NY! I see them flying in the spring when they're coming back north for the summer, there must be tons of them over a week or so that fly over. Awesome picture!! I think they are very cool birds, doing a dirty job of cleaning up the carcasses of dead things!
