Description
Miss Ruby has gone to the chickens' Rainbow Bridge.
We will miss her and her eggs.
I do not believe I am getting anymore chickens.
I have had chickens for 22 years.
Some of them had great personalities, and Miss Ruby
was one of those.

She looks like a beautiful chicken. I'm guessing you can get just as attached to a chicken as a dog or cat, and if so I am sorry for the loss of your friend.

and it always hurts but maybe having another one will help you overcome easier,i was glad i had the poodle when the crap wiuth the first trixie happened last year she helped me through.

I once had pet chickens growing up on our farm and was sad when one by one they reached there life limits as the years rolled on.Of course we had well over 100 at any given time it wasn't hard to move on to the next one....lol...And they are like any other kind of animal that can be trained...As far as pets go.....Sad to hear your Ruby has reached her life's limit...Though I'm sure your sad at least she was a productive one....(smiles)...

I so sorry, Cheryl. I know how feelings can go deep, also for all kinds of animals. You will miss her eggs too, I'm afraid. At home we had always chicken. And my grandmother during daytime, she had one chicken in the house, it always was sitting on her shoulder, when she cooked. And the chicken understands her when she talked to her ;-).
