Description
During the fall I have to don the latex gloves and go out to harvest the deadly crop of mushrooms that grow along the fence of InterFaith Treasure House. the main reason is to get them away from those who do not know what they are and what the can do, and also from those who do know what they are and what they can do.
this haul was about 20 pounds of death and agony.
I can think of more pleasant ways of dying, like a slow wood chipper, a pond full of sharks, or a vat of mild sulfuric acid....
I know it is grusome to discuss, but... it does make for some interesting pictures as well

Pretty sad that crass ignorance has to lead to their removal! I take it these same people don't walk in front of moving cars or off cliffs?

Lots of mushrooms grow out in the state lands not far from us. we even bought a book on mushrooms so we could identify those that were edible from the poisonous ones. some of the edible ones are almost identical to the toxic ones. in the book, it looks so easy to tell them apart, but in reality, unless you are some expert on mushrooms, you just can't be certain. so we never did pick any to eat. very cool shot .. a box of poison. hard to believe that mushrooms so pretty would be such vicious killers.
