Description
------------- Lost
All that once was,
All that was glory and strength and beauty,
All that mattered,
Lays dying.
I am here,
In the wilderness,
Alone,
A pointless symbol,
Of what my country once was.
We were not conquered,
We did not fall to plague,
War did not defeat us,
We simply stopped being “we”.
“They” came,
And we were too weak,
Too kind hearted,
Too soft,
To fight back.
They gathered in the cities,
Breeding like cockroaches,
Until all that once was,
All that we once were,
Had been rewritten by “they”.
All that was good and glorious and true,
Is lost.
Yet while one soldier still stands,
“They” will fall.

She's definitely starting to look more like an adventurer than a willful... well, child doesn't really ever describe her. Nor punk. Know-it-all teen? Excellent image

Considering the current 'state' of the landscape, was that particular poem really necessary? Great render, as always. Rating: 5 for render, 3 for the poem.

Necessary? Is anything necessary? Poetry is never necessary. Art is never necessary. Its not about the reader. Its simply something the writer felt needed saying.
