William Shatner (Captain James T. Kirk) William Shatner is an actor and writer from Quebec born March 22, 1931 in Montreal, Quebec. It is known to the public for the role of Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek television series. William Shatner was born in Côte Saint-Luc, a suburb of Montreal, and is the son of Anne (born Garmaise) and Joseph Shatner, a clothing designer. He has two sisters, Joy and Farla. His paternal grandfather, Wolf Schattner, anglicized his name to a family "Shatner". The grandparents were Jewish immigrants Shatner from Austria, Poland, Hungary, and Ukraine. It was therefore higher in Conservative Judaism. He attended Willingdon Elementary School in the Montreal neighborhood of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, and Baron Byng High School and West Hill still in the same city. This is also in that institution as a building named after him. He then distinguished the Stratford Ontario Festival (Stratford Festival of Canada) where he made a Shakespearean interpretation. He made his television debut as a Ranger Bill and cinema in The Brothers Karamazov. Shatner also gets his first success in the theater and on television in such series as Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and The Fugitive. For the pilot episode of Star Trek, The Cage, Captain of the USS Enterprise is Christopher Pike, played by Jeffrey Hunter. He refused to reprise the role for the second driver. William Shatner, already present in some SF series inherited the role of Captain James T. renamed Kirk. He also played the role of Kirk's brother, George Samuel (The light kills / Operation: annihilate!). After Star Trek, it took a long time to find a role because he associated too strongly to the character of James T. Kirk. It was after filming the first movie in the series Star Trek: The Motion Picture he will return. We always find television (including The Wild Coast and Hooker), the theater, but also in cinema. He is the hero of the first six films from the TV series Star Trek, as well as the seventh film, Generations, which makes the connection between the two series. The fifth album The Final Frontier Star Trek co-written and directed by Shatner. His most recent roles were held in feature films: Osmosis Jones, American Psycho 2, Showtime, Dodgeball. It was on display in Miss Congeniality in 2005. He is also eccentric Denny Crane in Boston Legal since 2004 and it's a voice in Over the Egde, an animated film. He won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for his role in Boston Legal. Since November 2006, he agreed to host the TV show Show me the money distributed by the ABC network. He also made appearances in the TV show of the WWE Monday Night Raw. He was at the ceremony of "WWE Hall of Fame 2007" inducted Jerry "the King" Lawler. February 1, 2010, he was the guest host of WWE Monday Night Raw and won the Slammy Award for Guest Host of the Year. Since September 2010, he starred in the series $ h! My Dad Says on CBS. He is currently dating, although he had three wives in the past. He is fluent in English but French. Il est le héros des six premiers films issus de la série TV Star Trek, ainsi que du septième film, Generations, qui fait la liaison entre les deux séries. MAGIK HAS A MAN CRUSH - LOL ... it's ok dude, we all know you love the guy, he's gotta be the most famous Canadian... Definately one of my top favorite actors/people... He seemed so cool when he did the original star trek and the last 20 years or so he's become soft spoken.... He kinda lost his tough guy edge.... but I still like him... I gotta admit when I saw the Dedi, I thought maybe we lost him, he is 81, but looks late 60s. I read your writings, but at the end, I couldn't tell if you were saying he also speaks French or not - I've never heard him speak French, but being a Canadian, I'd guess he knew some if he doesn't speak it.
