Description

The USS Oriskany CVA 34, referred affectionately by its crew as the Mighty "O", somewhere in the gulf of Tonkin early seventies. An other test this time using Vue 7, another resources hog like poser, I would have never been able to add all these models in the same render in my old comp before, vue would have crashed. Set up in poser & rendered in vue, then post work in photoshop for the smoke & waves. Models from Neil, the Schell, Gaceck (Oriskany from Google 3D). 2.5 hrs to render on superior, but about half hour on final, the new comp makes a big diff, about 30min work on the waves & smoke. not bad overall. Models used : The Mighty O, Carrier support vehicles (from taschen/DeEspona), Corsair II, (google 3D) Crusader, The Schell, re-textured for VF-194 Red Lightning Intruder, Neil Phantom, Bazze Sea King, (google 3D) Sky Hawk, (google 3D) Sky Raider, Neil S3 Viking E2 Hummer (google 3D) The schell's arizona deck crew

I had the same problem with Vue too till I brought a more powerful pc. Stunning and realistic scene Luis with some nice postwork on the wake. It's worth zooming in just to see the jets taking off!

Very nice work! You put a lot of effort in the detailing postwork and it shows. Good job on the wakes, and the catapult steam is a very nice touch. One to be proud of to be sure!

"Do NASA know you've nicked their computer"?....bloody marvelous, jaw dropping stuff.As Mike said "got to zoom" so much going on here.The post work is top notch, but especially the 'cat' steam....I needed a new desktop and I think I've found it!! Instant Fave... Thanks for the mention, always much appreciated....
