Description

During my one night off in the last 2 weeks, I managed to do a little playing around with Mandlebulb - something I really want to learn more about. I opened up one of the parameters it comes with, and the resulting image brought to mind the massive Asimov Space Station in Alex's Gunmetal Sky story... Here a couple cargo shuttles approach the main entry portal on the station. The ships are freebies by NightmareHero, rendered in PoserPro 2012. The starfield background is courtesy of NASA. I added some tiny lights to the various structures in Photoshop. Hope everyone has a great week! Thanks for dropping by, and any comments you wish to leave - I appreciate it more than you know! :-D

I like those tiny lights you added in Photoshop, Big Bro. You do have an eye for details and it added impact to the image. Love your scifi renders as well (aside from the fantasy and pin-ups).

So that's what Asimov looks like! Wow. That's huge! I mean, I knew it was really really big, but I couldn't get my brain around what it might be like. This is fabulous!

Wow! Awesome, man!! I'm, again, humbled that my story has kind of conjured this up in your mind. Looks so peaceful on the exterior. Hard to imagine the hell that has been unleashed inside. Now you've made me think... I reckon one of those shuttles is piloted by a guy that owes Sterling a favour and winds up being the craft that Shona and co are smuggled back to Earth in. :)

Wow I am impressed you built a whole space station complete with universe and stars and lights in 1 day.......and on the 7th day he rested. My bad 1 day. I have no idea what Mandlebulb is. I vaguely recall some guy with a name close to that and being the father or mother of genetics. I think he worked on peas or wee or something, but I suspect this is something totally different. This is 1941 in the count down. I got to catch up before the world ends. Song? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs7gOC4EQ5k
