Description
So, there's a 60 foot giant robot standing there, and what do you do? Do like this lady and her little daughter do... ignore it.
Seriously, how can they be so blase? It's right next to them!
There were quite a few women and girls who were doing their best to ignore it... although most seemed pleased to be in the presence of a metal (plastic) god of all robots.
I thought this mum and little girl were such a wonderful contrast to the giant foot of the Gundam... and also an interesting study in how the spectacular can become mundane.

I think PhilW may have it...I suppose walking past this every day would lessen the impact, impressive though it is.The picture does show the cultural difference, in Britain this would be damaged and spray painted within a week.

Well, if it started moving around and firing lasers they might not be so indifferent. My other half wouldn't want to go near it moving or not! Have to agree with Neil though, if it was this country it'd be graffited within a day or two.
